China’s culture is not very diversified. They tried to keep there culture inside of china. Chinese culture has many different religions. The main religions are Atheism, Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. The religions are very different in many ways but also very similar. Some of the smaller religions in china is Islam and Christianity. The clothing that they where are very colorful. The clothing they where isn’t much different then our clothing in the United States. Although the Chinese architecture is very different from our architecture. Their architecture is based on symmetry and balance. They usually have arc’s somewhere in there buildings. There are many interesting places in china. One place that would be good to go see would be the forbidden city. The forbidden city is a city within the inner city of Beijing. The city is a moated palace with many religious places within it.

 

They have many festivals in China. One of the most significant festivals in China is the dragon boat festival. This festival has a long history. This festival is celebrate by the racing of boats in the shapes of dragons. The point of this festival when it first started was to try and save the poet Chu Yuan. Chu yuan drowned on the fifth day of the fifth month in 277 B.C. Now they drop bamboo leaves with cooked rice into the water so the fish would eat the rice and not Chu Yuan.
