Chinese ancient dynasties
Xia, is said to be the first prehistoric dynasty in China. In the 1960s and 1970s, archaeologists have uncovered urban sites, bronze implements, and tombs that prove that the Xia was the first existing dynasty in China. If this were not true, then the Xia period marked an evolutionary stage between the late neolithic cultures and the Chinese urban civilization of the Shang dynasty.
The Imperial Era
In 221 BC, once the king of Qin consolidated his power, he took the title Shi Huangdi which means first emperor. He then brought the idea to China to Centralize. Centralization, was achieved by ruthless methods, which was focused on standardizing legal codes and bureaucratic procedures, the forms of writing and coinage, and the pattern of thought and scholarship. This method of centralization was pretty much a way of suppressing China.
Modern China
Modern China was brought upon by the success of the Qing dynasty. The over sea western powers were the ones that set guidlines for China's expected growth. At the beggining of the nineteenth century China was have very large economic problems due to the fact that there were 300 million chinese while there were not enough industries for all the people.Localized revolts erupted in various parts of the empire in the early nineteenth century. Secret societies, such as the White Lotus sect in the north and the Triad Society in the south, gained ground, combining anti-Manchu subversion with banditry. These were all bad situations that have somewhat been overcome throughout the history of China.
